About US

We all know that to

It's no secret that much of today's furniture is made of press board and fabricated materials.  We see so many discarding the furniture of past generations for the junk that is on the market today.  Details like quality pulls, all wood construction and dovetailed drawers all seem to be something of the past. As a master woodworker’s daughter, Heather was always hanging out in her dad’s shop since the time she could walk.

She quickly learned an appreciation for the tools such as the jig saw and the wood lathe. Her dad taught her to respect the tools, materials and the craft of fine woodworking.

heather's Vision

Who would have thought that decades later, Heather's love for all wood furniture would take her in a bit of a different direction than her dad pointed her in?

Heather states "It absolutely breaks my heart to see beautiful pieces of hardwood furniture that once were adored and showcased in a home now be discarded and traded for pressed sawdust. I am on a mission to once again help these beautiful pieces of furniture take center stage in your home by adoring them with some much needed TLC and finishing them a fresh new updated look!"

Meet heather

So very nice to meet you!

It is so very nice to have you here.  I look forward to getting to know you.

In the spirit of sharing, here is a bit about myself.

I am Heather, "H" to my hubby, "Heath" to my family and friends and "mama" to my furbabies. I grew up in Broadview Heights, Ohio and I absolutely love this area.  The four seasons make northeast Ohio a great area to live.  Although I really could do without the dreary part of the winter, but, it just makes me appreciate the nicer months that much more.  I love to connect with nature whether it be a stroll through our wondeful metroparks system with my pups, getting my hands dirty in my garden or a weekend excusion to a local state campground.

I have always been drawn to wood;  I joke that I have sawdust and varnish in my my veins and that I not only know what a pinch dog is, but that I know how to use one properly.  As the daughter of a master carpenter and having spent much of my childhood in my dads wood shop, I have always had a deep appreciation for well crafted wood furniture as well as woodwork used thoughout homes.

In 2016, my hubby and I moved back into my childhood home in Broadview Heights, Ohio.  We added a large addition to the century home that my parents moved into back in the late 1960's.  My dad, along with the previous owner, added onto the home again and again.    My father had constructed so many built in's and paneling throughout the years, each seemed to have a different style and a different color stain. During the construction of our addition and renovation, marrying the old wood work was crusal to me.  The end result was a showcase home that my father would be proud of!  I know we most certainly are!

I look forward to chatting with you and getting to know what your wants and needs are.  Connect with me today to start our journey.
